The Global Halal Summit in Malaysia has concluded
From September 17 to 19, the Global Halal Summit 2024 was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The purpose of this event was to discuss current issues in the development of the halal industry by world leaders in halal accreditation and certification, and to establish a unified direction for industry growth.
During the business trip, Abbiyas Hazrat Shlyaposhnikov, Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee of the Muslim Religious Board of the Republic of Tatarstan, attended the GHS-2024 exhibition and held several meetings:
– with representatives from Singapore, including the leadership of MUIS;
– with representatives from China and Japan;
– with the leadership of the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM);
– with the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
– with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
– with the Chairman of the Malaysia Tourism Center.
As a result of the trip, cooperation agreements and mutual recognition agreements were signed with China, and experience was exchanged with accredited certification bodies from various countries.
During the meetings, Abbiyas Hazrat highlighted the significant contribution that Tatarstan is making to the development of the Halal industry and invited the participants to attend the international economic forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum,” which will be held in May 2025, to witness the achievements of the Republic firsthand.
Additionally, Abbiyas Hazrat Shlyaposhnikov completed a two-day training course on the accreditation of certification bodies, food additives, halal tourism, and medicine.
In addition to being attended by representatives from 94 countries, the summit’s significance was elevated by the participation of the leadership of the OIC Metrology Body, the Gulf Accreditation Center (GSO), and SFDA.
