The Halal Standard Committee of the Central Religious Organization – The Muslim Religious Board of the Republic of Tatarstan was established in 2004 to oversee the production and sale of halal products, the production of which began to develop intensively in Russia. In order to avoid fake and counterfeit halal products entering the market, the same year by the Halal Standard Committee under the SCM RT and CJSC Test-Tatarstan Republican Certification Methodological Center (certifying on behalf of the state agency Russia), “General requirements for the production and sale of products labeled“ Halal ”(HALAL)” were developed.

These Regulations define the requirements for raw materials used in the production of Halal products, as well as for personnel, production facilities, vehicles, tools, clothing, packaging and labeling, as well as requirements for the examination procedure for product conformity. standards of Islam.

Based on the approved Regulations, all manufacturers, trade and catering enterprises that implement halal, the Halal Standard Committee at the SCM RT offered to confirm the compliance of their products with the norms of Islam and obtain Halal Certificates of their products.
