Tatarstan’s Halal Committee Advances Towards Indonesian Accreditation with Specialized Training
The Halal Standards Committee under the Muslim Spiritual Board of the Republic of Tatarstan (RT MSB) has enhanced its expertise by completing an advanced training program on Indonesian Halal standards. This initiative is a crucial step in the Committee’s accreditation process with BPJPH – the Indonesian government’s Halal Product Assurance Agency.
As the regulatory body for halal certification in the world’s largest Muslim-majority country, BPJPH is regarded as one of the most authoritative institutions in the global halal industry.
The comprehensive training program covered several key areas:
-
The regulatory framework of the Indonesian halal industry.
-
Implementation of the Halal Assurance System (SJPH – Sistem Jaminan Produk Halal).
-
Identification of critical points for raw materials.
-
Methodology for issuing fatwas (Islamic rulings) and the role of the Sharia Council.
-
Competency standards for halal auditors and practical aspects of conducting audits.
This newly acquired knowledge is pivotal for the Committee to successfully obtain accreditation from BPJPH. Achieving this status will ensure the Committee’s practices align with stringent international requirements, thereby strengthening trust in its certification services among both manufacturers and consumers on a global level.
