Oman and Qatar Recognized the Halal Standards Committee’s Certificates!

Products certified by the Halal Standards Committee of DUM RT can now be officially supplied to the Sultanate of Oman and Qatar. The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources of Oman, along with the Department of Public Health and the Food Safety and Environmental Control Division of Qatar, have recognized our certification system, opening new prospects for cooperation.
This recognition is based on previous accreditation by the Gulf Standardization Organization (GSO) in the Persian Gulf.
This is an important step for Russian manufacturers aiming to enter international markets. Oman and Qatar actively import agricultural products, creating significant export opportunities:
- In 2021, Oman’s meat imports totaled $315.5 million, with poultry accounting for 55.5% ($175.2 million).
- In 2020, Qatar imported 175.2 thousand tons of meat worth $505.3 million, including $194.9 million in lamb and 37.7% ($190.6 million) in poultry.
The recognition of the Halal Standards Committee’s certificates opens access for Russian companies to supply not only Oman and Qatar but also the broader Gulf market.
