Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov participates in the Gulfood exhibition in Dubai

21 February 2023

These days, the 28th International Specialized Exhibition of the Food Industry “Gulfood 2023” is being held on the territory of the World Trade Center in Dubai, in which the Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov takes part.

The exhibition presents the stands of enterprises that produce halal products and are under the control of the Committee: Agrosila, Uva Moloko, Kasymovsky Dairy Plant (TM Barakatle), Akulchev, Individual Entrepreneur Mubarakov Ramil Akhnafovich.

“Agrosila” presented meat products of its own production at the exhibition, “Akulchev” offered confectionery, and “Uva Moloko” and “Barakatle” introduced visitors to the range of dairy products, Mubarakov R. A. demonstrated individual diets (dry rations).

As Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov noted, now many Russian enterprises are oriented towards Muslim and Arab countries, which gives impetus to the development of the halal direction in Russia.

“For the productive development of the halal industry in the country, careful monitoring of this process is required,” said Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov.

The chairman also stressed that the export potential of Tatarstan enterprises is huge, since the Republic produces not only food products, but also chemical products, which include cosmetics. According to him, in the near future we will see even more Russian exhibitors at such events.

Gulfood is one of the events that set trends in the food industry, both in terms of popular products, and, for example, production technology and safety, for years to come. Among the participants of the exhibition are agricultural holdings producing high-quality organic grain, milk and meat, as well as small Russian companies representing exclusive products. The number of Russian goods at the exhibition is growing from year to year: in 2018, 8 companies took part. This year, 75 Russian enterprises are participating in the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by a delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan, which included Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan – Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan Nail Zalakov. Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan works at the stand of Tatarstan represented by the first deputy head Insaf Galiyev.

The Gulfood 2023 exhibition is held from 20 to 24 February.
