Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov Became the New Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee

30 April 2021

Some personnel changes have taken place in the Halal Standard Committee. By the decision of the Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin, the organization was headed by a new chairman — Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov.

The former head, Irek Ziganshin, who has invaluable experience and merits in this industry, remains in our Committee as a deputy chairman.

Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov began his professional career as a religious figure with the training at a madrasah in the city Oktyabrskiy of the Republic of Bashkortostan and then continued at the Galiya madrasah in Ufa. In 2006, by decision of the Mufti of Russia Talgat Tajuddin, he was sent to Egypt to study at the faculty of religious law of the most authoritative Islamic university “Al-Azhar al-Sharif”. Here he perfectly mastered the Arabic language and became an expert on the Islamic law (fiqh).

At home in Russia Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov also received a recognized Islamic education within the walls of the Russian Islamic Institute in Kazan. In 2019, he got the bachelor’s degree program in theology. To date he continues to realize himself in the field of education and science, working on a Master’s thesis in theology in RII.

His education was successfully completed by graduating in 2019 from the Russian Institute of Transport under the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

His working career began in 2013 in the city of Podolsk near Moscow, where he began to practice as an imam as part of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow and the Central Region “Moscow Muftiat” under the leadership of Mufti Albir Krganov.

Same year Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov became the ideological inspirer and organizer of the “Discussion Muslim Youth Club” on the basis of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Moscow, within which the active youth of Moscow and the Moscow region united. Very soon he became the head of the international department of this Spiritual Administration.

In 2017, at the invitation of the Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin, he became imam at the Tynychlyk mosque in Kazan, and in 2018 he was appointed imam of the Pestrechinsky district of Tatarstan. Today he also continues to successfully work there.

An important achievement in professional activity was the fact that from February 2020 to April 2021 he was able to restart the work of one of the departments of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republik of Tatarstan as a leader, gathering a team of active imams around him.

In April 2021, in the holy month of Ramadhan, he was appointed chairman of the Halal Standard Committee.

The staff of the Halal Standard Committee of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, by the will of Allah Almighty, hopes for joint fruitful work for the benefit of the Muslims of our large country in the development of the Halal industry.
