A Working Meeting with the Head of the State Accreditation Body for Halal Standard of the Turkish Republic
The XII International Economic Summit «Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2021» has started in Kazan at the Kazan Expo IEC. At the summit, the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin held a working meeting with the head of the state accreditation body for Halal standard (Helal Akreditasyon Kurumu) of the Turkish Republic, Zafer Soylu. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary General of SMIIC (Institute of Standards and Metrology of the OIC) Ihsan Ovut and the Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee Abbyas Kadirov.
The business meeting was held at the initiative of the Turkish side with the aim of establishing cooperation in matters of international accreditation according to Halal standards and the export of Halal products. Thus, the Turkish guests expressed their readiness to conduct training in the international standards «Halal» and the international accreditation of specialists of the Halal Standard Committee.
The leaders also discussed the export of Halal products abroad, interaction of the certification bodies, opportunities and prospects for determining the quality of Halal products in laboratory conditions, etc. The guests expressed their hope for cooperation on mutually beneficial terms.
