Halal Standard Committee participated in CNR FOOD ISTANBUL EXPO

From August 31 to September 3, CNR Food Istanbul, the 9th International Exhibition of Food, Beverage, Food Processing, Storage, Refrigeration Systems, Logistics and Store Equipment, took place in the capital of the Republic of Turkey.

The Turkish Halal Certification Body GIMDES invited the Halal Standard Committee to take part in the event. Akhmad Kirgizbekov was delegated by the Committee as a representative of the organization. The employee took part in the exhibition and in the 14th International Halal and Tayyib Conference organized by GIMDES, as well as participated in a round table and held a number of meetings with halal producers, during which the entry of foreign companies into the Russian market was discussed.

Ahmad Kirgizbekov met with WHC (World Halal Council) President Zafer Gedikli and GIMDES President Dr. Hussein Kami Buyukozer, as well as members of the technical committee and GIMDES auditor Menaf Yildiz and Ali Riza Kurum.

As part of the meeting with the presidents of WHC and GIMDES, Akhmad Kirgizbekov conveyed greetings on behalf of the leadership of the Halal Standard Committee and spoke about the activities of the Committee. The parties shared their experience in the field of certification and development of the halal industry, discussed the principles of work of certification bodies.

In a conversation with Menaf Yildiz and Ali Riza Kurum, the methods used and approaches to solving modern Sharia issues that arise in the sphere of what is permitted and forbidden in Islam were discussed.

Representatives of GIMDES expressed their readiness for further cooperation and exchange of experience, and also invited the staff of the Committee to study in Turkey on the basis of GIMDES.

“We had a very warm and pleasant conversation, exchanged information about the work of our organizations and achievements,” shared a member of the Committee.

As a symbolic gift, marking the friendly relations between WHC, GIMDES and the Halal Standard Committee, the parties exchanged printed publications.

“I was presented with the manual “Permissible and forbidden in nutrition and not only”, compiled by the Committee, and Mr. Menaf, the book “Yeniden G?da Raporu”, written directly by Dr. Hussein Kami Buyukozer, President of GIMDES,” explained Akhmad Kirgizbekov.

CNR Food Istanbul is one of the most important meetings of the global food industry, bringing together producers, exporters, merchants and international representatives.
