1 December 2022

The ninth exhibition of the organization of Islamic cooperation (OII) Halal Expo from November 24 to 27 took place in the Istanbul exhibition center.

The Chairman of the Halal Standard Committee Abbyas Shlyaposhnikov attended the event and held a number of meetings with representatives of various religious organizations and companies from the field of halal-industry.

The exhibition united representatives of the halal industry from 39 countries, including the USA, Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands and India. In general, 446 companies took part in the exhibition, including 305 foreign and 141 Turkish.

The event itself was attended by a total of 31,905 people, 8,674 of which foreigners from 117 countries.

The exhibition took place in a total area of 15,177 square meters.

According to the Anadolu agency (AA), the President of the World Summit Council, and the Director General of Discover Events Yunus Ete, said that the exhibition has become one of the most important world events.

“We held a very successful event. All participating companies left Turkey, having established cooperation. We have achieved very successful results, especially in the framework of the B2B program, which was initiated in 2021. The volume of capital achieved as part of the exhibition amounted to $ 1 billion,” said the Director General of Discover Events, whose words are given in the message of the Council of the World Summit.

“We have already begun to work on the exhibition in 2023. We note the decade of the event with an even more powerful organization,” added Yunus Ete.
